Welcome to Integrative Health Coaching

Integrative Health Coaching is not just about your physical well-being, it is also about you as a whole person: your values, goals, work, balance, fulfillment and life purpose. Through the coaching process, clients typically reach various goals, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.  We use reporting, exploring, and consistently committing to positive forward movement.  This proactive working relationship will accelerate your progress by providing greater focus and awareness of choice.

Health coaching effectively motivates and supports health behavior change through a structured partnership between the client and coach.  A coach is like a “personal trainer”, except the focus will be on your whole self. I  help the client develop and realize their optimal health vision through inquiry, personal discovery and accountability.

Health Coaching is best performed over a period of three to six months on a consistent basis.  These meetings can occur in person or over the phone and last between 25-60 minutes.

Working with an Integrative Health Coach will change your life.

The Wheel of Health

The Wheel of Health, created by Duke University, is a visual reminder of the many layers that are your whole life, with all the areas being connected and impacting your health. Using this wheel, we will create a Personalized Health Plan that focuses on health optimization to attain a future of well-being that includes balance and vitality.

Healing the Whole Person

The body and mind have the inate ability to self repair.  Your life choices can support and enhance this healing.  You are at the center of your health and the expert in your own life.

Paying attention to the present moment without judgement is the basis of health coaching and will provide you with multiple benefits.  Mindfulness will allow you to be proactive about your life rather than reacting to daily challenges without thought.

Eat and drink to strengthen and nourish your body and mind.  Make sure you have the right nutrients for your body's demands without too many empty calories.

Seeing purpose and meaning in something larger than yourself benefits all aspects of your physical and emotional health.   This can include not only religion but nature or the arts.

Personal, career, or life goals can support healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices especially with regard to work life balance, financial goals and personal growth.

Where you spend the most time can significantly impact your health.

Supportive relationships with family, friends and co-workers are good for your health!

Skills such as breathing techniques, relaxation, and yoga can increase healing and reduce the effects of chronic stress.

Create a movement plan that keeps you interested and motivated.   Getting adequate, good quality sleep allows you to feel balanced and rested and gives you energy to do the things you want to do.
